Kayaks, canoes, paddleboards and sailboards

Kayaks, canoes, paddleboards and sailboards are stored in the small craft area between the boat launch ramp and the creek.  Boats may be stored on shoreline racks or canoe racks.  See the separate instructions for dinghies and  boats on trailers that use the hoists at the South Docks or the concrete launching ramp.

The summer season is April 1 to November 30. Every effort is made to assign boats the same spaces as in previous years, but the club reserves the right to reassign spaces if necessary, so that long-term occupants retain their spots and individuals using the canoe racks have access to a slot that allows for any physical limitations (e.g., height, back problems, etc.).

• For boats with a motor, the owner should provide a certificate of insurance with at least $300,000 in liability coverage.
• The club may apply a registration sticker to your dolly or boat.
• Storage of members’ empty trailers at the club is not permitted.
• Boats left unregistered on club grounds will become the property of IYC.

Lockers

Lockers are available at no charge in the Sailing Locker Shed but you should register so that we know who is using which locker and which ones are available.

Registration

Please complete the registration form by clicking on the Register box on the left.  This box is at the bottom of the column and you will probably have to scroll down to see it.

Provide as much detail as possible about your boat (type, make, length, color and other distinguishing features) and its location (rack and slot number on a canoe rack, shoreline rack number and location, etc.).

Summer Storage Dues, April 1 to November 30, plus tax (8%)

1. First craft stored on canoe rack: $52
2. Additional craft in the same canoe slot: $26
3. Two or more craft in the same canoe slot: $78
4. First craft stored on half a shoreline rack: $72
5. Additional craft on the same shoreline rack: $36
6. Two or more craft on the same shoreline rack: $108
7. Locker: no charge

Winter Storage

Winter storage is available for kayaks, canoes, paddleboards and sailboards on racks.  Other craft must be removed for the winter.
