COVID-19 OPERATIONAL GUIDELINES AND RULES FOR MEMBERS
All IYC members and their guests should have a common understanding of the current NYS rulings on social distancing. As of June 12, we have entered Phase 3 of reopening which eases the restrictions on non-essential gatherings and indoor dining: https://forward.ny.gov/phase-three-industries
Phase 3 means that IYC is now allowed to have gatherings of 25 or fewer persons (not all in our family units) provided that social distancing guidelines are followed (6 feet of distance between non-family members or else masks must be worn). This practice also applies to boating, so that our marina rules can now allow non-family members on boats, provided that masks are worn.
Indoor dining is open at IYC, but with limited seating. Masks should be worn when not seated at a table. See the current dining regulations here:
The most powerful tools we have for combatting coronavirus transmission is social distancing, masking, and sanitizing hands and frequently touched surfaces. Therefore, I request that each IYC member shows respect and care for other members by using masks and social distancing while at the club.
We count on members to act responsibly towards their fellow members and to police themselves. Each of us must fully comply so that we create a safe environment for all members, but especially those with higher risk or those who feel uncomfortable with eased restrictions. Let's work together to take care of each other!
